Family owned medical device office is seeking a dedicated, organized Receptionist with a great upbeat attitude to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist in a fast paced office. You will be responsible for answering phone calls, providing administrative support and ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk. Your role will involve answering the phone, interacting with patients, managing medical records, scheduling appointments, and performing several other administrative tasks. Proficiency with Excel and Quick books a must. Must send resume.

Responsibilities:

- Greet and check-in patients in a friendly and professional manner

- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to the appropriate staff member

- Schedule patient appointments and maintain the appointment calendar

- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or payments

- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary

- Assist with medical billing tasks, including coding and submitting claims

- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as needed

- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including faxes and emails

- Ensure the waiting area is clean and organized

- Adhere to all privacy regulations and maintain patient confidentiality

Skills:

- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist, Medical Administrative Support, or similar role preferred

- Strong administrative skills with proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft, Excel and Office Suite)

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Familiarity with medical scheduling systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks) is a plus

- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is beneficial

- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail

- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload effectively

- Professional demeanor with exceptional customer service skills

- Familiarity with phone systems and ability to handle high call volumes
