Job description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision parts. Your expertise in machining techniques and ability to interpret technical drawings will be crucial in ensuring the quality and accuracy of the finished products.

Hours: 6am-4:30pm

Responsibilities Include the Following:

- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform machining operations such as milling, drilling, and grinding

- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining operations

- Select and install appropriate cutting tools and fixtures based on job requirements

- Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and make necessary adjustments

- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers

- Collaborate with engineers and production team to optimize machining processes

- Maintain a clean and organized work area

- Very good work ethic

Skills Include the Following:

- Proficiency in operating CNC Mill machines and related software

- Strong knowledge of machining techniques such as milling, drilling, and grinding

- Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications

- Experience with power tools, hand tools, and precision measuring instruments

- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus

- Basic math skills for performing calculations related to machining operations
