About the company/position:
Woodland Trade is a well-established manufacturer of tooling solutions for the aerospace industry. We are seeking a qualified CNC Machinist for “4-10s” day shift position, operating 3 and 5 axis large platform CNC Routers and occasional 3 and 5 axis CNC Vertical Metal Milling Machines. Typical materials cut on the CNC Routers are tooling foam, laminated wood, various plastics, composites, aluminum, and occasionally other interesting materials. As Woodland Trade is a tooling shop, most jobs will be one-off and unique (Not Production!). That being said, we are seeking someone eager, excited, and willing to deal with a constantly changing scope of work.
Responsibilities:
Some of the bare minimum basic responsibilities pertaining to the position are general shop/machine cleanliness and maintenance, gathering and loading material, downloading of NC programs into machines, loading/setting of tools/origins, blueprint reading, part measuring, setup, and operation. Responsibilities could potentially be more vast, up to and beyond things like program editing, hand writing programs, involvement in planning, general shop problem solving, continued methods improvement, etc.
Qualifications:
CNC experience, strong math skills, and mechanical ability preferred.
