Chip Facility Supervisor

Green Diamond Resource Company is currently looking to hire a Supervisor to work at our Chip Facility located in Fairhaven, CA. This is a unique job working at a production facility which stores and ships wood chips on the waterfront of Humboldt Bay in Northern California. The wood chips are delivered from area sawmills and loaded onto vessels bound for both domestic and overseas markets. You will be the supervisor for a small team of employees who keep the production steady and the facility in excellent working order. The supervisor directs staff who work all aspects of the facility from the weigh station to maintenance.

This position requires a minimum of 5 years of supervisory or lead person experience in forest products or a related industry. In addition you should have 5 years experience in shipping and receiving and be able to pass a federal background check to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) so you are able to work on the dock at the facility when a vessel is in port.
