You MUST be able to handle working with several different databases of information. One of your most critical and immediate jobs will be to learn, understand and master the systems that have contributed to our success. It’s vital that all our clients have the same “Wow!” experience. Of course, proficiency with Word and Excel is expected; knowledge of CLIO, PowerPoint, and Adobe is a plus. You must be comfortable learning other software programs.
You will need to know how to figure things out on your own and be able to creatively problem solve situations. You will be trained and mentored, but if you are above putting paper in the copier or setting up the conference room, this is NOT the job for you. We’re a small, tight-knit group and everyone pitches in wherever needed. Obviously, multi-tasking is an absolute must.
Responsibilities:
Assist with drafting estate planning documents and deeds
Scheduling appointments for attorneys
Assist with preparing and filing documents with state courts
Administrative tasks including but not limited to filing, organizing, answering phone calls, printing, scanning documents,
Communicating with clients
Proof-reading documents
Maintaining client files for active cases and ensure files can be quickly and easily located
Qualifications:
At least one year to two years of law firm experience
Highly motivated fast learner who is able to work without constant supervision
Ability to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines
Experience in estate planning highly preferred
Excellent writing and proofreading skills, with superb attention to detail
Excellent verbal and listening skills
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Adobe required
Experience with CLIO preferred
What We Offer:
Competitive compensation. After a trial period of three months, we will re-negotiate your compensation whereby you may earn a bonus based on your performance and results.
Full time only
You will be in a friendly, accessible office in south Seattle/Tukwila, with free parking
Compensation: $22-$25/hr DOE
