PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Reporting to the Executive Chef, the Steward Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and proper storage of kitchen equipment to maintain high-quality customer service. This role involves preparing and distributing kitchen equipment accurately based on restaurant and banquet hall. Additionally, this role directly supervises the Stewards.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Proficiency in operating and maintaining washing machines and handling cleaning detergents, including hazardous materials.

Strong knowledge of personal, environmental, and facility sanitation procedures.

Ability to select, maintain, manage, and store kitchen equipment in alignment with industry trends.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to follow instructions and provide accurate reports.

Understanding of relevant hotel and restaurant operational laws.

Familiarity with kitchen utilities, equipment, and kitchenware management.

Knowledge of food safety regulations and general kitchen operations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid Food Handler Permit

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work areas.

Oversee the proper use, cleaning, and disposal of kitchen linens.

Conduct inspections to maintain cleanliness and functionality of kitchen equipment.

Uphold and enforce sanitation standards in compliance with HACCP and other applicable regulations.

Maintain and update relevant documentation while providing ongoing training to staff.

Ensure compliance with stewarding management procedures and oversee junior staff adherence.

Maintain an adequate inventory of kitchen equipment and regulate storage standards.

Provide support to related departments, particularly the culinary department.

Ensure the cleanliness and proper function of kitchen equipment and tableware at all times.

Enhance customer satisfaction by maintaining a stable supply of sanitary tableware.

Adhere to the company’s brand standards and business conduct guidelines.

Align actions with the company’s values and expected conduct.

Carry out assignments as directed by senior management.

Participate in training programs as required by the Training Manager.

Foster positive and productive relationships with employees and other departments.

Maintain professional grooming standards at all times.

Use polished and professional language in all forms of communication.

Lead with passion, enthusiasm, and a commitment to excellence.

Strive to create exceptional guest experiences and lasting impressions.

Ensure the highest standards in guest service while identifying opportunities to enhance service quality and profitability.
