The Navy Bean Espresso and Deli is a privately owned business located on the Puget Sound Naval Ship Yard and is not a government entity.
No weekends, no evenings, no holidays!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE MANAGER POSITION INCLUDE:
Servsafe or Navy PIC certification is Mandatory
Self-motivated
Team player.
Able to work nine hour-plus shifts, with extensive standing/walking. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
Food service/espresso experience
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The manager is responsible for the daily operations of the Navy Bean Espresso and Deli, focusing on customer service, employee relations, and organization. The manager will learn the current internal deli and espresso systems and make continuous improvements and adjustments to maximize efficiencies and quality.
DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS
Promote customer service as a priority.
Prepare food and espresso.
Perform ongoing training of employees on internal systems including food preparation, food safety and sanitation, espresso, customer service standards, and all other functions required to efficiently operate.
Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills.
Maintain a professional and clean, sanitized work area.
Hold employees accountable for their responsibilities.
Take on extra job duties as needed or as assigned by the owner.
Thorough knowledge of general kitchen operations.
Knowledge of proper rotation of foods and food safety, including proper cooking time & temps.
Skill in proper cooking techniques and knife handling.
Willing to be flexible in daily schedule in order to maintain operations regardless of employee call out, incorrect deliveries, etc.
Understand and execute continuous contingency planning - ALWAYS BE PREPARED FOR ANYTHING
