The Frying Dutchman food truck is looking for an experienced fry and/or line cook to join our team. Must be reliable, have a good attitude, able to work in a fast-paced environment and keep a cool head! Emphasis on consistency and speed while maintaining integrity.
DUTIES: Set up cooking stations on the food truck. Set up to-go boxes with proper sides and sauces. Cook and assemble fish, tofu, shrimp and chicken tacos. Hand-dip and fry fish, shrimp, oysters, and fries. Dish finished products into the correct boxes, ensuring accuracy. Deliver food to customers in cars. If needed, take orders and cashier. Once service is over for the day; break down the line, filter the oil, do dishes, wipe all surfaces, and make sure all items are secured for travel.
SCHEDULE: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday lunch shifts start at 10:40 AM and end approximately 2:40 PM in Milton, Edgewood, and Sumner. Wednesday lunches in Puyallup begin in April. Occasional weekends, evening and longer shifts.
PAY: Starting at $20+/hour plus share of tips (typically at least $12/hr and more when doing catering events). Raise after 6 months and every year. Holiday bonus. Two-week pay period with direct deposit.
REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must be 18 or older, able to read order tickets, able to do basic math, can lift and carry up to 45 pounds, stand for duration of shift, work in a small space and use steps. Must have reliable transportation and Washington State food workers card as a condition of employment. Able to communicate clearly with customers and co-workers.
