I own a food service company that feeds the less fortunate in Kitsap County. I am seeking a cook/chef that would like to join my team. It is a very unique position. We prepare food in our commissary kitchen and deliver/serve it at local shelters.
Job Title: Food Services Manager (catering cook/chef)
Job Type: Part Time or Full Time
Location: Bremerton
Schedule: Job includes weekends, but open to discussion. Hours could be anywhere between 8am and 6pm. None outside those times. Set schedule is ideal for both sides. This is not a typical restaurant job. No line cooking. No late nights. Weekends are a must but with one weekend off a month if desired.
Covid Safety Requirements are in place.
Salary: 25.00 per hour starting wage. Paid Sick Time, Paid Time Off, Paid Training
Reports to: Food Services Director
Date Available: June 16th
Experience: 3 years of food and beverage preferred. Health Card Required.
General Description of Job:
Under the direction of the Food Services Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in providing food services to our guests. This includes but may not be limited to the purchase and procurement of supplies and ingredients, preparing the meals, and assisting the transport of such meals.
All duties will comply with Kitsap County Department of Health, USDA, and OSHA.
Must have a ministry mindset and be able to be a model servant-leadership.
Must have knowledge of proper food handling. Must be good at planning and organizing. Mathematics, reading and writing skills also a must. Must have great communication skills and relate with diverse groups of people.
Required Personal attributes:
Possess excellent personal integrity.
Must demonstrate a courteous manner with guests, volunteers, co-workers and other partners/agencies.
Physical Factors:
Occasionally be able to lift 25 pounds.
Constantly work in different temperatures 10 to 110 degrees during the different seasons.
