Duties:
- Assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen operations and ensuring the smooth running of the culinary department.
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Oversee food preparation, including portioning, plating, and presentation.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and specials.
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Assist with menu planning and cost control measures.
- Monitor food quality and make adjustments as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working as a Sous Chef or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with staff and customers.
