Choober Doobers Family Home Daycare is a highly rated and established early childhood education in Shoreline, WA. Since 2013, we have maintained very low ratios of 1:3 with teachers/students most of the time. We have all sorts of home-cooked yummy meals, story times, daily walk, private music classes, STEM classes with Snapology, theme-months. We're seeking a part time or full time lead teacher who is passionate, loving, caring, and reliable to continue setting an example in quality and care with our students, families, and inspiring to other teachers. We have a very low adult/child ratio, competitive pay, and a structured and predictable environment with long-tenured employees.
What are we looking for in this role? A passion for early childhood education. This role will own the development and execution of a curriculum for toddler children ages from 1-2.5 years old. You should be familiar with creating lesson plans, comfortable leading circle time, enjoy spending time running activities with children, and bringing your authentic fun-loving self to work every day. You will partner closely with the owner of the facility and be a reliable leader that inspires and builds great relationships with the other teachers while setting an example of quality child care.
What's required?
● Must have completed or in progress the DCYF background check
● You must have Associate or Bachelor or higher degree in Early Childhood Education/Elementary Education
● two years experiences in licensed daycare facilities or classroom teaching
● Classes in or certification in child development
● In-Person Infant/Child & Adult CPR
● First Aid
● HIV/Blood-borne Pathogens
● WA Food Worker Card
● 20 or 30 HOURS Child Care Basics
● Clear DCYF Background check
● Professional record up to date in MERIT Registry
● Negative TB test Result
What's nice to have:
● If you like to cook or bake, play sports, play music instruments, are bilingual, like to sing, teach yoga/gymnastics for young children you should absolutely apply!
● Able to work with younger children as a team. We are a licensed family home daycare that believe in a very low adult per child ratio so we have 4-5 other teachers and the owner who work with all ages. We are in need to have a good team member who will be part of growing all children with us.
