Job Title: Lead Montessori Teacher

Location: Bellevue, WA

Number of Positions Open: 2

Who We're Looking For:

We are seeking two lead teachers to join our multicultural learning environment. While Montessori certification (AMS, AMI, or MACTE-accredited equivalent) is preferred, we will also consider candidates with substantial preschool teaching experience who are willing to pursue Montessori training.

Our ideal candidates:

Have 1+ years of experience as a Montessori lead teacher (preferred) or significant experience as a preschool teacher with a willingness to train in Montessori.

Have experience working in multilingual, multicultural settings (preferred).

Have strong communication skills, particularly with young children and families.

Are passionate about Montessori education and dedicated to fostering a love of learning.

Have excellent classroom management and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement the Montessori curriculum with engaging, hands-on learning experiences.

Observe, track, and document children's progress, tailoring lessons as needed.

Supervise and guide classroom assistants, substitutes, and parent volunteers, ensuring consistency in the learning environment.

Foster a positive and respectful classroom culture by modeling conflict resolution and supporting children's independence.

Maintain open and respectful communication with families, including written updates, conferences, and Montessori education sessions.

Participate in parent education events, approximately once or twice a year.

Assess prospective students during school visits.

Provide basic first aid as needed, following appropriate protocols.

Attend faculty meetings and staff events to foster a collaborative school environment.

Use basic computer skills for lesson planning and communication.

Compensation & Benefits:

$24.00 to $30.00 per hour DOE (based on experience and certifications).
