The mission of the Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribal Department of Public Safety is to protect life and property, maintain order, investigate crimes, enforce all applicable laws and ordinances, protect natural resources, enforce Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribal Fishing, Hunting, and Forest codes, investigate violations, arrest and issue citations on violators within the boundaries of the Port Gamble S’Klallam Reservation and within the boundaries of the Point No Point Treaty Area.
The Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribe, originally known as the Nux Sklai Yem or The Strong People, are descendants of the Salish peoples with ancestral ties to the Kitsap Peninsula that date back at least 1,000 years. Many of the Port Gamble S’Klallam’s members—totaling over 1,400—live on the Tribe’s reservation, which is located on the northern tip of Kitsap County in Washington state, near the neighboring towns of Kingston, Poulsbo, Indianola, Hansville, Port Gamble, and Bainbridge Island.

Job Summary:
This position performs a variety of clerical and administrative duties for the accounts payable department including purchase of quality goods and services at the lowest reasonable cost while operating at the highest standards of ethical conduct.
This position is to ensure that all supplies and property are purchased promptly, accurately and in adherence to the Tribe's established procedures, and that supplies, and properly received.
This position also ensures that documentation necessary to support all purchases, receiving, payment and appropriate reports are stored in an accurate, organized manner that is easy to retrieve.
This position is responsible for processing purchasing, receiving and inventory. This position will also assist other Accounts Payable Technicians where needed.
Research vendors and suppliers to ascertain the most cost-effective source of supplies.
This position is regular and full time.
This position reports to Accounts Payable Manager.
