Rhino Foods is looking for a talented a talented Manufacturing Maintenance Technician II/III to play a vital role on their growing Ops team. This role will perform and oversee a wide range of equipment maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting required for smooth operation of a food manufacturing facility.

Rhino Foods, founded in 1981, develops and manufactures edible bakery-style ingredients for use in ice cream and frozen desserts from its Burlington, VT facility.

JOB DUTIES:

Perform a wide range of maintenance, repair work, and troubleshooting to ensure the effective operation of high-speed packaging equipment, including flow wrappers, bagging machines, case erectors, sealing units and similar associated production equipment and to include:

o supporting operation of machinery, mechanical equipment and electrical components;

o performing regular preventative and predictive maintenance on production, and facilities equipment to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions;

o repairing equipment if feasible or recommend outside servicing or replacement;

o offering technical advice/assistance regarding operating problems; and

o designing or modifying pieces of equipment to correct production problems or enhance production equipment capabilities.

Ensure prompt and effective repair and preventative maintenance of production equipment.

Record and track parts usage and repair/fabrication time using Rhino’s work order and parts system.

Provide support toward Rhino’s process and production enhancements including work with automation equipment and robotic systems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

5+ years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, preferably within the food manufacturing industry.

Proven experience in methodical troubleshooting, problem-solving, continuous improvement, and root cause analysis relating to manufacturing equipment including mechanical systems and electrical components.

Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, some background in welding and fabrication techniques, and general understanding of PLC and entry-level programming are highly valued.

Ability to set and act on priorities and meet deadlines with minimal direction.

Ability to provide thorough documentation. Effective reading, writing and math skills.

Ability to work cooperatively with co-workers at all levels in a team-oriented work environment.

Demonstrated ability to sustain a 3rd shift position.

Physical ability to perform all essential job duties, including heavy or moderate lifting, prolonged standing and walking, considerable bending, stooping and climbing.
