Your Responsibilities:

We are seeking a Maintenance Superintendent to oversee the maintenance activities of our residential property in Barre, VT. You will be hands-on supervising a team of maintenance professionals alongside the Senior Property Manager. The duties you will be responsible for will include:

Overseeing and participating in completing daily work orders, unit turnovers, and preventative maintenance inspections and repairs.

Coordinating on-call responsibilities.

Providing training and technical support to our technicians.

Keeping the Senior Property Manager up-to-date on the property and any work that needs to be done. Developing long and short-term maintenance planning.

Preparing buildings for inspections with our technicians.

Coordinating with contractors.

Updating records and reports related to maintenance.

The work hours are Monday through Friday 8:30-4:30 with on-call duties shared on rotation. Some flexibility in the work hours will be required.

Your Qualifications:

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills and a strong customer service philosophy. A focus on teamwork and an ability to work independently will also be key to success in this role.

Knowledge of general apartment repair and previous experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC work is required.

Previous experience supervising a team of maintenance staff is required.

Computer and smartphone skills are required; experience with Yardi or other work order systems would be a plus.

A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are required.
