Job Title: Structural FitterJob DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Structural Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fitting and fabricating structural components to construct water towers and storage tanks utilizing blueprints and drawings. This role involves reading blueprints, measuring materials, cutting materials, laying out, fitting up, and tack welding using flux core. The candidate will also fit platforms, ladders, walkways, and other various structural components required for the tanks. The ability to determine orientation and degrees of the fit-ups is essential. Work will primarily involve carbon steel, including channels, I beams, angles, and plates.Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to determine material requirements and task specifications.
Measure, cut, and lay out materials accurately for assembly.
Fit and tack weld structural components using flux core welding techniques.
Assemble and fit up platforms, ladders, walkways, and other structural elements for water towers and storage tanks.
Determine the orientation and degrees for fit-ups.
Handle carbon steel materials such as channels, I beams, angles, and plates.
Operate overhead cranes and hand torches as needed.
Essential Skills
5+ years of experience in structural fitting.
Proficiency in flux core welding (must pass a 2G flux test).
Ability to read blueprints and tape measures accurately.
Experience operating an overhead crane.
Skilled in using hand torches.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience operating fabrication machines such as rolls, presses, plasmas, and bandsaws.
Prior experience fitting tanks.

The position is for a day shift from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed.
