Description We are in search of an Entry Level Accountant to join our team located in Houston, Texas. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of accounting procedures. As an Accountant, you'll be tasked with providing administrative support to our financial team, handling accounts receivable and payable, and assisting in financial audits and sales reporting. This position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Assist in the preparation of financial audits and sales reports. Set up new customer accounts and monitor existing ones. Review and process company credit card transactions and postings in SAP. Conduct credit limit block requests, considering payment history and past due invoices. Handle customer collections and ensure timely payments. Resolve customer inquiries regarding billing issues in collaboration with internal teams. Review and process intercompany and third-party invoices, resolving any discrepancies. Handle cash application for open customer invoices and resolve any payment issues. Utilize skills in Accounting Entries, Accounting Functions, Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), and SAP to perform duties efficiently. Requirements Possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in an accounting role Capability to handle accounting entries with precision Proficient in performing various accounting functions Experience in account reconciliation is necessary Must have worked with Accounts Payable (AP) processes Familiarity with SAP software for accounting is preferred Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.
