Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team, located in Houston, Texas. The role involves providing critical support to the shared service’s accounting teams and the larger organization. The position offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity, providing a fast-paced environment where collaboration and self-direction are prized.Responsibilities: Efficient and accurate processing of customer credit applications. Keeping customer credit records up to date. Resolving any customer inquiries promptly. Monitoring customer accounts and implementing necessary actions. Preparation, review, and analysis of business units' bank account reconciliations. Identification and resolution of financial, reporting, and business unit issues. Execution of weekly procedures related to the reconciliation of cash to revenue from unit point of sales systems. Conducting research and analysis of cash control processes and procedures. Providing guidance, reviewing work product of other staff accountants, and ensuring follow-through. Performing balance sheet reconciliations and monthly calculations. Generating and recording journal entries. Offering audit support and review. Requirements Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and management Demonstrable experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) operations Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations accurately and efficiently Comprehensive understanding of General Ledger maintenance and review Expertise in creating and managing Journal Entries Experience in executing Month End Close procedures Familiarity with NetSuite financial software Proficiency in using Oracle for accounting purposes Experience with QuickBooks accounting software Knowledge of SAP software for business operations and accounting Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
