Description We are offering a contract to potential full-time opportunity for a Property Accountant in Houston, Texas. This role involves working within the commercial real estate industry, with a particular focus on property management accounting. The successful candidate will be working in an onsite environment and will be expected to handle a variety of tasks related to our real estate portfolio.Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the property accounting of our commercial real estate portfolio primarily using MRI and occasionally Yardi software. Execute and manage financial reporting tasks. Prepare and review draws for the projects. Collaborate with various partners on project-based tasks within the property management realm. Oversee transactions conducted by the international team for projects requiring the use of Yardi software. Maintain an accurate record of all transactions and financial activities. Ensure the accurate and efficient processing of accounting functions for our property portfolio. Manage and handle a wide range of property accounting duties related to our portfolio. Utilize your understanding of accrual accounting in the execution of your duties. Utilize auditing skills to ensure accuracy and compliance in all financial activities. Utilize MRI and Yardi software for transaction entries and management.Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Property Accountant role or similar position Proficient in Accounting Functions including but not limited to Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Detailed knowledge of Accrual Accounting is required Proven experience in Auditing is desirable Familiarity with MRI and MRI Software for property accounting is a must Strong skills in Financial Reporting are needed Previous experience with Yardi Property Management is essential Proficiency in Yardi and Yardi Software is highly appreciated Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required CPA certification is a plus Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
