Description We are looking for a Sr. Accountant to join our client in the transportation industry, based in Fort Worth, Texas. The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for the accounting and forecasting of revenue-related balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting of all revenue-related reserves, and preparing the quarterly and annual Accounts Receivables footnote. Responsibilities: Account for and forecast revenue-related Balance Sheet accounts Ensure the accuracy and timely reporting of all revenue-related reserves Manage income statement lines related to Storage and Demurrage Prepare the quarterly and annual Accounts Receivables footnote Develop strong business partnerships with various stakeholders across the organization Work directly with external auditors on revenue-related audit items Proactively identify, recommend, and implement process improvements Handle account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations Maintain the general ledger and make journal entries Use Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks Perform month-end close procedures Utilize SAP for various accounting tasks Analyze revenues and prepare footnotes in accordance with US GAAP.Requirements Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a national CPA firm. Proficient in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations. Skilled in managing general ledger and preparing journal entries. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and SAP. Experience in handling month-end close procedures. Ability to analyze revenues and prepare footnotes. Knowledge of US GAAP is mandatory. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred. Proactive problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
