We are an exam only office (located next door to a retail optical) looking for someone to cover Mon-Wed, Fri and Saturdays ASAP. Avg 34 hrs/week. Prior optometry/healthcare experience is a plus but not necessary. Must be reliable, personable, detail-oriented and be able to multi-task. We are located in the Murphy/East Plano/Wylie/Sachse area. Our office hours are Monday-Wednesday 10-6 pm, Friday 10-5 pm and Saturday 9-3 pm.
Job duties include (but not limited to):
Answering phone calls
Scheduling appointments
Verifying medical/vision insurance benefits
Doing preliminary testing with automated equipment
Teach patients how to insert/remove contact lenses
Keeping the office well maintained and cleaned
Submitting insurance claims
Checking patients in and out
