We provide scalable solutions for cloud connectivity, edge intelligence and asset management, industrial Ethernet switches and industry leading panel meters and operator panels, to make it easy for companies to gain real-time data visibility that drives productivity.Position SummaryWe are seeking an exceptional Lead Hardware Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative team, and lead the charge in creating the next generation of cutting-edge industrial automation products. The Lead Hardware Engineer leads a group of engineers and technicians responsible for the design, productization, and sustainment of industrial embedded systems within Red Lion's Visualize product segment. These include Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems, protocol translators, network devices, and Input / Output (I/O) controllers. This position will report to the Director, Engineering and will have a strong business partnership with the product management leader of the Visualize product line. Team Leadership: Inspire, mentor, and lead a team of electrical and mechanical engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Align the team with ambitious project goals and company objectives. Manage individual and team goal setting, accountability to meet objectives, and provide growth and development opportunities to team members.

Electromechanical Design: Leverage your electromechanical expertise to spearhead the design, development, and optimization of cutting-edge hardware components for industrial automation.

PCB Design: Oversee and actively participate in the design, layout, and testing of PCBs, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and manufacturability.

Project Management: Drive hardware development projects from inception to production, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget, and exceptional quality. Utilize your project management skills to orchestrate complex projects seamlessly.

Manufacturing and Industrial Automation: Collaborate closely with manufacturing teams to transition designs from prototype to production. Ensure that designs are manufacturable and compliant with industry standards and regulations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work synergistically with software engineering, firmware, QA, and product management teams to ensure holistic and cohesive product development.

Innovation and Improvement: Champion continuous improvement in hardware design and development processes. Stay ahead of technological advancements and integrate cutting-edge innovations into our products. Consider advancements in technology that can put Red Lion at the forefront of its industry & develop engineering requirements from user or market requirement to design hardware to meet these.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of design processes, specifications, and project progress. Produce detailed reports for stakeholders and contribute to technical documentation for product releases.

Minimum Requirements:

Proven track record in hardware engineering with a focus on electromechanical systems and PCB design. Demonstrated success in managing complex hardware projects.

Expert proficiency in electromechanical design and PCB layout tools (e.g. Altium or like) Deep understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial automation.

Exceptional project management skills, with experience leading hardware development projects and managing cross-functional teams.

Ability to lead and inspire a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline
