Demonstrates effective and professional communication skills
Directs departmental performance measures with Supervisor, including visual controls and provides regular progress reports to Supervisor
Provides leadership
Assume responsibilities in the absence of the Supervisor (in regards to the production line), except for hiring, discipline, and discharging of employees
Work towards continuously improving housekeeping, safety, and productivity, and supports an environment that empowers employees
Responsible for fabrication of wooden crates to ship, job cleanups, small job parts and orders
Loads windows and accessories
Ensure the product is packaged safely within the crate to minimize possibility of damage
Ensure all shipping documents are completed and accurate
Assist in loading trailers when crating duties are complete
Other duties as assignedOTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Leadership experience
Working knowledge of Outlook, Excel, and Word
Ability to manage multiple priorities and complete tasks
Team player
Ability to accurately read tape measure
