"World of Rugs" is a fine oriental rug store in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, known for providing high quality area rugs at affordable prices. Our 10,000 sq/ft. showroom in Robinson Town Centre carries a huge selection of thousands of fine handmade, handtufted and machine made area rugs.

Job Description:

We are currently interviewing for the position of Office Manager. This position is responsible for managing all of the office paperwork for our retail stores and working closely with the owners of World Of Rugs on other assignments.

The candidate we are searching for must already have experience as an Office Manager / Administrative Assistant in order to qualify for this position. You must be mature in your work ethic, reliable, self-motivated and an experienced office manager.

Candidates who do not have experience as an Office Manager and/or Administrative Assistant will not be considered to interview for this position.

Responsibilities:

Maintain and organize office supplies, including ordering, storage, and distribution.

Maintain a positive working relationship with the entire staff.

Maintain a positive attitude and have willingness to assist others.

Manage all invoices, paperwork and filing.

Place purchase orders with vendors daily.

Follow up with vendor orders placed and any delays or problems with shipping.

Schedule freight line pick ups for returns & damages.

Assist with scheduling our internal Deliveries to local customers.

Answer all incoming calls and / or direct the call to the appropriate person.

Create price tags for all new merchandise and assist with pricing new goods.

Work directly with our owners and assist on projects as needed - requires flexibility.

Other duties as assigned by management.

Skills:

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent communication skills & interpersonal skills to work well with others in a fast-paced environment is required.

Position needs strong organizational skills & problem solving to ensure that our customers’ needs are met efficiently and effectively every day.

Must be self motivated as well as a Team Player.

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must already be proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office in order to understand our systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

8 hour shift

Monday through Friday
