SpireTech is hiring! We are located in Clackamas off Sunnyside Rd, and we provide Managed IT and Cloud Services to Portland area businesses. This position is 100% remote, subject to company policies.

We work to promote from within, and most of our team has been with us for 5 or more years. This is an opportunity to apply for a full time, customer facing service desk role.

We are a Microsoft Cloud Solutions Provider with a strong business focus on Microsoft 365, and candidates with experience or certifications in this area are of particular interest.

The successful candidate will have, in addition to the required client relationship skills, Tier-1 or 2 experience administering, supporting, and implementing Microsoft 365 services, Microsoft Windows 10 and 11 operating systems and related hardware components. Microsoft 365 administration and support experience is desired. Microsoft certification(s) a plus. Corporate IT support or experience working for another MSP is most beneficial, but not necessarily required.

Candidates should possess the following skills and abilities:

- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

- Capable of being on-time and accountable to track time spent on client work daily through a ticketing system

- Configure/troubleshoot Microsoft Office suite and supported e-mail clients such as Microsoft Outlook

- Configure/troubleshoot Exchange Online, SharePoint, and OneDrive for Business

- Identity Management within on-premise Active-Directory or M365 Entra ID

- Understanding of the M365 service and subscription options

- Know your way around the Windows from memory and without seeing it

- Comfortable at a command line interface and Microsoft PowerShell

- Capable of setup and troubleshooting of network connections, firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access-points, etc.

- DHCP, DNS, and TCP/IP principles of operation, configuration, and troubleshooting

- Installation and management of common anti-virus and anti-malware software (Sophos)

- Experience with tools commonly used by MSP’s such as PSA’s and RMM

- Apple OSX experience a plus

- Willingness to perform the occasional site call to a client’s office (PDX metro only)

Your primary responsibilities will include:

- Resolving technical support requests via email, phone, and RMM software

- Professional written and verbal communications with the client base

- Triage and escalate problems you cannot fix to other team members

- Answer simple billing questions

- Daily timekeeping
