OFFICE COORDINATOR for Local Tour Company

Compensation: $38,000 to $42,000 annually (depending on prior experience and references)

Employment type: Full-time

Schedule: 7:30-4:30, Friday through Tuesday

We are Wildwood Adventures, Portland’s premier sightseeing and day tours company, and we pride ourselves in cultivating a fun, inclusive, and collaborative work environment. We are currently looking for an amazing Office Coordinator to add to our team! This position is extremely important, as it is the first point of contact with our guests. Core daily responsibilities will center around managing tour reservations and the tour calendar. We will provide a great training environment for you and will help set you up for success!

The ideal candidate will:

- Have outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal

- Be extremely organized and detail-oriented, able to multi-task in an open work style environment with some interruption

- Be self-motivated and able to complete projects with little supervision, in a timely manner, and with a high degree of accuracy

- Have an active interest for all things Portland and Oregon and have some basic knowledge of activities in and around the Portland area

- Be outgoing and bring a fun and positive atmosphere to the office

- Be ambitious, bright and curious, willing to take on new tasks with energy and enthusiasm

- Be skilled in Excel, Word, and Outlook

Preference given to candidates with tourism industry experience, as well as prior customer service, scheduling, and office experience.

Some examples of duties:

- Taking new reservations and questions via phone and email

- Responding to incoming emails and bookings in a timely manner

- Managing existing public reservations via a central booking software, as well as third party reservation systems

- Planning and organizing private tours- planning itineraries, scheduling appointments, managing the tours from beginning to end

- Problem solving as necessary and being the main point of contact for the tour guides while they are out on tour

- Social media assistance and development

- Helping out as necessary with bigger projects and development ideas
