Position Summary:
The Project Assistant handles client records, including creating, categorizing, maintaining, overseeing file retention and destruction, along with providing support to Reception and Accounting.
Responsibilities include:
Creating and managing new files in the inventory database
Retrieving, delivering, and closing client files; ensuring proper retention
Handling file destruction and update inventory
Providing backup for reception, accounting, and conflict checks
Assisting with kitchen duties, conference room set up, and recycling
Minimum Qualifications
High School Degree required
2 years working in an office environment
Legal experience a plus
Skills and Abilities
To perform the job successfully, an individual must demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position:
Ability to work and communicate effectively at all levels within the firm
Knowledge of records systems, Excel, and law firm software
Great customer service skills
Detail-oriented, and ability to prioritize multiple duties and tasks
