Legal Assistant (Immigration/Estate Planning)

Hillsboro Law Group PC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented legal assistant to join our growing practice. This position focuses on immigration law and estate planning. Prior legal experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Location: Hillsboro, Oregon (this is not a remote position)

Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday

Compensation: $25-30/hour (DOE), benefits after 60 days

Responsibilities:

Draft and prepare immigration forms (I-130, I-485, I-751, N-400, etc.)

Manage client communications and gather supporting documents for multiple cases

Prepare and file application packets with USCIS (e-file and mail)

Maintain calendars, track deadlines, open and organize case files

Handle data entry, scanning, filing, and e-filing

Support attorneys and paralegals as needed

Strong organizational skills, handling multiple cases and case types

Can-do attitude and ability for quick turn-around with preparing forms and filing applications

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

Able to safeguard confidential information

Comfortable interacting with clients from diverse backgrounds

Willing to learn and grow with the firm

Willing to help colleagues and contribute to a positive office environment

Bonus Qualifications (not required):

Prior experience working in a legal environment or law firm

Experience with legal software, including Docketwise, Clio, Lawmatics, and Microsoft Office

Bilingual

Prior work in customer service, admin, or healthcare
