Gillaspy Rhode Faddis & Benn LLC is looking for a Legal Assistant in our Portland, Oregon office. Job Type: Full Time in-office work schedule Monday-Friday. A hybrid schedule may be considered after 90-day probationary period.
Pay: $50,000 to $80,000 annually (DOE), plus benefits.
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
1. Must have 3+ years of legal assistant experience in civil litigation. Construction defect and/or insurance defense experience preferred.
2. Must have familiarity with state and local rules, including filing legal pleadings in Washington state and federal courts.
3. Must have the ability to balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and excel at time management.
4. Must be detail oriented, possess good judgment and decision-making skills.
5. Must have a strong work ethic, be reliable and professional.
6. Must have advanced proficiency in Adobe, Microsoft Office, Microsoft 365, and Excel.
7. Responsibilities include drafting templates, filing pleadings, proofreading, maintaining the attorneys’ calendars to record all key filing and case deadlines, assisting with production of documents, downloading and uploading document productions, opening and closing of files, and similar litigation support and secretarial tasks.
Benefits & Compensation:
Compensation range is between $50,000 and $80,000 annually and is dependent on experience.
