House Manager / Family Assistant - Lake Oswego

We are a warm, active family of five with three school-aged children (14, 11, 9) and a lovable 4-year-old Bernedoodle. Both parents work full-time (one travels, one works from home). Our home is tree-nut-free. We’re looking for someone dependable and proactive who can bring structure, organization, and joy to our household long term.

Position: House Manager / Family Assistant / Meal Prep

Hours: 20–25 hrs/week

Compensation: $30–$35/hour (based on experience)

Start Date: ASAP

Schedule:

Monday–Thursday, 2–7 pm for school pickups, activities, dinner prep, and evening transitions (with one earlier start for household prep/organization).

Additional flexible hours during the week for errands, organization, and family support.

Occasional flexibility for travel, special events, or school schedule changes.

Requirements:

Non-smoker

Reliable transportation

Able to pass background check

Who We’re Looking For:

You’re organized, dependable, and proactive. You enjoy creating systems, jumping in where needed, and communicating clearly. You’re warm, fun, and connect easily with kids and pets.

Key Responsibilities:

Household organization (closets, pantry, storage, toys, seasonal swaps)

Daily tidying/reset and light cleaning support (dishwasher, surfaces, vacuum, trash/recycling)

Meal prep: plan and cook 2–3 healthy dinners/week, prep kids’ lunches/snacks, grocery shopping

Laundry & linen care: wash/dry/fold, rotate bedding/towels, occasional ironing/steaming

Errands: groceries, returns, dry cleaning, gift shopping, package/mail handling

Pet care: feed/walk dog, coordinate grooming, keep areas clean

Vehicle management: pickups/drop-offs, oversee maintenance, keep fueled and organized

Family support: school pickups, activity transportation, homework oversight, occasional evening/overnight care

Vendor/property oversight: schedule/coordinate cleaners, landscapers, repairs, seasonal upkeep

Special projects: organizing, seasonal storage, deep cleaning (fridge, oven, etc.)

Administrative support: manage family calendar, schedule appointments, research kids’ activities/camps, travel logistics
