Description Robert Half is searching for a Network Administrator for a client based in Portland, Oregon. The primary responsibility of this Network Administrator is to execute day-to-day maintenance and administration tasks related to organization's network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. This would be a 100% onsite role in Portland, OR and would be a long-term contract opportunity. Apply today!

Execute day-to-day maintenance and administration tasks related to the organization's network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

Perform routine checks and updates to network configurations, addressing potential vulnerabilities and optimizing efficiency.

Configure, monitor, and maintain Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls to meet the organization's networking needs.

Implement software updates, patches, and firmware upgrades on Cisco devices as needed.

Diagnose and resolve network-related issues promptly, utilizing strong problem-solving skills.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and address complex network challenges.

Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

Keep accurate records of changes made to the network infrastructure and ensure documentation is readily available for reference.

Work closely with the security team to implement and maintain network security measures in accordance with industry best practices.

Conduct regular security audits and implement necessary enhancements to safeguard network integrity.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Network Administrator with a focus on Cisco technologies.

Cisco certifications such as CCNA or CCNP are highly desirable.

Proficient in configuring and managing Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.

Strong understanding of networking protocols, TCP/IP, and subnetting.

Excellent troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to issue resolution.

Detail-oriented with a focus on meticulous documentation.

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
