Job DescriptionA large health care system in Maine is looking for a Network Analysts to join their Networking team. The engineers will be responsible for traveling to multiple locations across Maine, with the home base in Brewer ME or Portland ME. The client has 10 member hospitals, a single physician-led medical group, eight nursing homes, and over 35 primary care locations.The engineers will handle a project to replace over 325 Cisco Catalyst Switches all over the state. Candidate must have their own car, but will be reimbursed for travel. The normal shift for the role is Mon-Fri 8AM-430PM, if there is occasional after hours work needed they will shift the start time accordingly. The engineers will upgrade the firmware on the devices at the home office in Bangor before deploying out to the various sites. They must be able to help with backup configurations, install the new switches and help with outages if things go down. Some of the installs might need to be done during office hours so we need someone that is flexible.
Upgrade Cisco switches
Visit data closets to scope out needs for hardware replacement
Configure replacement equipment
Work with the departments to schedule installation and file change control notices.
Physically replace the hardware
n compliance with the State of Maine Immunization Requirements for Healthware Workers, 10-144 Code of Maine Rules, Chapter 264, all Workforce Members are required to be vaccinated for the following illnesses:
Rubeola (measles)
Mumps
Rubella (German measles)
Varicella (chicken pox)
Hepatitis B
Seasonal influenza
Pertussis
Skills and Requirements
1-3+ years in Networking in an enterprise environment
experience with Cisco Switches (Catalyst 9300 series a plus)
Network Access Analytics, TCP/IP, wireless
experience installing and troubleshooting switches
Have own car for travel
willing to work off hours
High School Degree - Cisco Catalyst 9300s null
