Facilitate company compliance according to federal and state regulations and guidelines
Manage employee deductions and other liabilities
Calculate employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payments and employee federal and state income and social security taxes to determine payroll liabilities
Help payroll manage all internal and external audits
Perform review and verification of source documents
Secure confidential payroll operation information and maintain employee confidence
Manage payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
Maintaining payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data
Draft relevant year-end reports, as well as weekly, monthly, and quarterly ones, for department heads
Draft reports by organizing all summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages
Manage other tasks as assigned
Follow established policies and procedures to maintain payroll operations and report changes as necessary
Enter changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers as part of managing payroll records
Handle all payroll information questions and requests
Requirements - Deep understanding of Human Resources (HR) Administration
Payroll management experience required
Paylocity experience preferred
Payroll experience
Command of Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills
Expertise in federal and state payroll regulations and requirements
Proficient with high volume multi-state payroll, billing, licensing, AP, etc.
Well-informed in basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen
2+ years of relevant experience in payroll
Previous experience using accounting software
Knowledge of internal controls
Outstanding data entry skills
Meet and uphold Certified Payroll Professional criteria
