Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in the healthcare industry, located in Portland, Maine. The workplace is a fast-paced environment where attention to detail is paramount. The role involves handling various tasks related to accounts payable, including invoice processing, data entry, and check runs. Responsibilities: Manage both purchase order and non-purchase order side of accounts payable Ensure accurate and efficient processing of invoices, including coding and data entry Conduct regular check runs as part of the accounts payable process Maintain and manage detailed records of customer credit applications Resolve any inquiries related to customer credit in a timely manner Monitor customer credit accounts and take necessary actions to collect delinquent payments Use Microsoft Excel to organize, analyze, and report on financial data Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards in all tasks. Requirements Must have proven experience in an Accounts Payable (AP) role within the Healthcare/NHS industry Proficiency in conducting check runs is necessary Ability to perform coding of invoices Strong data entry skills are essential Experience in invoice processing is required Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines Compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements in relation to finance and procurement.
