Description We are searching for an Accounts Payable Clerk in the healthcare industry located in Portland, Maine. This role will be an integral part of our team, focusing on maintaining accurate financial records and processing payments. This is an on-site, contract to hire opportunity, providing a chance to make a significant impact on our operations.Responsibilities: Accurately processing and scanning invoices and related documents into the system. Handling reimbursements and ensuring they are correctly managed and tracked. Verifying the accuracy of data captured by OCR software. Addressing and resolving payment inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Contacting vendors as needed to clarify invoice details or resolve discrepancies. Ensuring smooth flow of invoices through the system. Assisting with vendor statement management. Utilizing skills in Accounts Payable (AP) and document scanning to maintain efficient operations. Handling billing statements and ensuring they are accurate and sent out in a timely manner. Collaborating with a team to ensure all account payable functions are completed accurately and on time. Requirements Possess a strong understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures Experience in handling billing statements efficiently and accurately Proficiency in scanning documents and maintaining digital records Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment and meet deadlines Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with vendors and other departments High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work Basic knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles Proficient in using computer software like Microsoft Excel and accounting systems Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new accounting procedures and regulations in the healthcare industryRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
