Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist. This role will be based in Portland, Oregon, and requires someone experienced in managing accounts payable, auditing, and utilizing various accounting software systems.Responsibilities: Manage the processing of accounts payable to ensure timely and accurate payments Utilize accounting software systems, such as ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ADP - Financial Services, for efficient data management Regularly perform account coding to ensure accurate financial records Conduct regular auditing of accounts payable records to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards Utilize Concur for travel and expense management, ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement Assist in the execution of accounting functions, including accrual accounting Use Automated Clearing House (ACH) for electronic transactions, ensuring secure and efficient financial processes Maintain and monitor customer accounts, taking appropriate action when necessary Resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally Ensure the maintenance of accurate customer credit records.Requirements Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accrual Accounting Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services Experience with Concur and Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems Proven ability to perform Accounting Functions Experience with Account Coding Ability to conduct Auditing procedures Previous experience in a Local Government setting is a plus Strong communication and organizational skillsRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
