Description Find recognition for the work you do in this Accounting Manager position. A well-respected software company has an immediate need for a determined Accounting Manager who will get results. The Accounting Manager leads the company's daily operations, such as preparing ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, establishing financial reports on a regular basis, handling regulatory reporting, and other tasks as assigned. The individual in this role will ideally establish and scale the company's accounting and finance operations. Based in Portland, Maine, this short-term contract / temporary employment opportunity is a great chance to work for a company that rewards results-oriented employees.Key responsibilitiesDrive and manage the full accounting team performance of the close process to meet tight deadlinesCollaborate with FP& A and accounting management to deliver relevant and timely reporting of financial data analytics, including monthly flash report, key financial metrics and actual spend against budgets/outlookRegular review and analysis of balance sheet and income statement accountsAssist in the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including document preparation, data analysis, integrity validation and reconciliation processesPrepare various technical accounting analyses, policies and procedures Requirements
Recent relevant financial experience
Solid technical skills
Proven knowledge of bank reconciliations
General ledger experience desired
Command of month end closings
Strong familiarity with Daily Cash Flow
Reconciliations experience highly desired
Infor M3 experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience
Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to work independently
Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
