As part of the Alternatives platform within Asset Management, Campbell Global is a leading global investment manager focused on forestland.Job SummaryAs an Accounting Manager, you will develop and lead a high-performance accounting team that places value on teamwork and growth. You'll play a crucial role alongside our Controller and Director of Accounting to ensure the organization's Accounting function is top-notched. You will be responsible for the ownership and management of Campbell Global's general ledger, reporting requirements and accurate completion of the day-to-day functions.Job Responsibilities

Responsible for Campbell Global's overall accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and oversee special projects, as needed.

Provide guidance, mentorship, performance evaluations for one Staff Accountant and report to the Director of Accounting.

Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations, as required.

Review all Cash, AP and AR activities and monitor P&L accounts and activities to ensure accuracy and investigate any unusual variances and transactions.

Prepare and review monthly financial statements and ensure they are presented in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (US GAAP).

Interpret agreements and calculate advisory fees and cost reimbursements for Client Funds.

Assist in the ERP implementation by providing information, documenting processes, testing new processes, training, etc.

Handle state and local tax filings as it relate to Campbell Global.

Work cross-functionally with other departments (Client Accounting, Legal Entity Controllers, Operations, Legal, etc.) and assist in any ad-hoc requests from management or other departments.

Document processes and internal controls ensuring operational effectiveness.

Represent Campbell Global at all levels while maintaining positive public relations.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

3 years+ of progressive experience in public and/or private accounting

Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and GAAP

Advanced communication skills, both oral and written

Ability to work cross-functionally and respond to various stakeholders needs

Attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Advanced Excel (Xlookups, Sumifs, etc.)

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

1 year + of supervisory experience including direct supervision, coaching and mentoring

CPA certification or equivalent preferred
