Description Our reputable client is seeking a Payroll Manager to join the company through Samantha Younes at Robert Half. The Payroll Manager will help meet standards for the financial department necessary for growth and will work on tax-related tasks, such as W2 forms, preparing reports and updating policies. This may be the role for you if you are a dynamic Payroll Manager with excellent communication, proven leadership, and are deadline driven.Your responsibilities in this role
Answer payroll-related questions and resolve issues
Coach and supervise payroll assistants and clerks
Organize payroll systems and timekeeping
Oversee processing of payroll changes (e.g., new hires, terminations, raises) and system upgrades
Comply with relevant laws and internal policies
Work with Human Resources (HR) and accounting teams
Prepare reports and maintain accurate records
Develop systems to process payroll account transactions (e.g., salaries, benefits, garnishments, deductions, taxes and third-party payments)
Handle payroll tax audits and collaborate with auditors

Knowledge in compliance
5+ years of payroll experience
Comfortable with handling confidential business matters and information with discretion
Proficiency in a wide array of payroll applications
Organizational and leadership skills
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company
CPP, CPM, or other related professional certifications is a plus
Current knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws
2+ years of proven leadership experience as a payroll manager or similar role
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources or related field
