Robert Half is seeking Staff Accountants in the Eugene area! We have frequent needs from clients in the area for these important roles. Staff Accountants perform a variety of duties such as maintaining the general ledger, reviewing financial statements, preparing financial reports, assisting with audits and budgeting processes, and reconciling accounts. The Staff Accountant's responsibilities include maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, assisting with budget and close processes, conducting internal audits, and maintaining accounts payable documentation. You may also be assisting the accounting manager as needed and respond to information requests by management and for auditing purposes.Job Duties:
Maintain and reconcile financial records, including general ledger accounts and bank statements.
Prepare and process journal entries for accurate recording of financial transactions.
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Conduct regular account analysis to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve payment discrepancies.
Assist in the coordination of external audits and provide necessary documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Assist with various financial and operational projects as needed.
Stay updated on accounting regulations and best practices.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Proficiency in using accounting software (mention specific software if applicable).
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in financial recordkeeping.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other relevant software.
1+ years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
Professional demeanor and ability to handle confidential information.
Relevant certification such as CPA or CMA is a plus.
