Center on Teaching and Learning (CTL), a research center at the University of Oregon is hiring organized, dependable, and attentive Data Collectors to work in the Bay Area (San Jose, CA) for the 2023-2024 School year.
Position: Part-time Data Collector
Administer group and individual assessments to preschool-age children.
Hours:
Part-time, weekdays (10-20 hours per week).
Monday-Friday, during typical school hours (8-12 and/or 1-3).
Start date January 2024 and end date August 2025.
Locations:
Kidango Centers in the Bay Area, San Jose, CA (Exact locations may vary and the ability to travel to nearby schools is required).
Preferred Experience, Education and Skills:
Experience working with young children (clear evidence of a desire to engage with young children playfully and appropriately).
Bilingual Spanish-English speakers and monolingual English speakers are needed. Applicants must also be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing in English.
Must be able to pass a background check and be able to pass fidelity tests when delivering the assessments.
Ability to work with technology.
Ability to work with technology (iPad, email, computer)
Organized self-starter with strong problem-solving skills
Regular reliable access to the internet.
Experience working in research preferred.
Degree or experience in Education preferred.
Must adhere to all UO and CTL policies regarding confidentiality of research work
Successful applicants will be asked to complete a criminal background check and Protection of Human Subjects training (CITI).
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.50 per hour

Day shift Monday to Friday No nights
No weekends
