The Role:

As a Watercraft Maintenance Technician, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the heartbeat of WakeRack's operations. This seasonal, part-time position involves a detailed inspection, maintenance, and repair of our kayaks, stand up paddleboards, and other rental equipment across our five Triangle locations. This role is perfect for someone passionate about water sports, who enjoys working outdoors, and who takes pride in ensuring equipment is in prime condition for our customers' adventures.

Core Responsibilities:

- Conduct weekly maintenance routes to inspect and maintain equipment across multiple locations.

- Ensure all rental equipment, including kayaks, paddleboards, paddles, pumps, and life jackets, meet our high standards of functionality and cleanliness.

- Document and promptly address any missing or damaged equipment.

- Perform repairs, such as patching air leaks in inflatable kayaks.

- Occasionally assist customers with inquiries, providing a high level of service and expertise.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

-Valid driver's license and own, insured vehicle (route mileage compensated).

-Solid understanding of kayak and paddleboard operation, and the ability to efficiently carry out repairs, maintenance, and inspections.

-Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

-Physical fitness, as the role involves handling, lifting, and repairing equipment.

-Commitment to safety, excellent customer service abilities, and teamwork.

-Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative.

-Enthusiasm for and knowledge of water sports.

Work Hours and Availability: Seasonal, part-time position with flexible hours.

Compensation: $20 per hour plus route mileage.
