This role will interface with stakeholders, data modelers, developers, and agile product owners to turn requirements into efficent ETL processes. Participate in testing, implementation, maintenance, and escalated support of Truist's most complex solutions.

Ensure adherence to company and industry standards. Provides technical consultation on extremely challenging or unusual situations.
Write and run unit tests.

Does not have management responsibilities. This position serves as the technical expert on the team and is often the strongest engineer, answering and solving the most complex, unusual issues, but does not have the skills nor the interest in management. Therefore, in the technical industry and many companies, this position is often aligned at the same level as an entry level manager. This creates a career path for an individual contributor to remain as an individual contributor and does not have to seek a management role for promotion/pay.

Responsible for delivering high quality working software and automating manual/reusable tasks working directly, and consulting with, the business from the beginning of the design work. Preferred Qualifications:

Banking or financial services experience
Deep knowledge and experience with two or more of the following: Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design with strong analytical and debugging skills
Applied experience in SQL Server Integration Services building and supporting SSIS packages
Applied experience in Ab Initio building and supporting ETL packages
Hands on experience in Microsoft SQL Server RDBMS building tables, scripting permissions, and performance tuning
Hands on experience working in an Agile scrum environment
Extensive experience in other ETL platforms as we look to transition to a new ETL platform with our Enterprise Data team in the next year.
AWS and Snowflake experience is desired as our EDA team transitions data to Cloud
Experience with build tools such as Git, Artifactory, Gitlab, and automated CI/CD processes
