Summary: Supernatural is seeking an experienced engineer who can develop 2D and 3D user interfaces for our innovative fitness app for Meta Quest. You will build interfaces that exist within immersive environments and collaborate with engineers and designers to implement the interaction patterns of this new paradigm. Supernatural is a live service and our dynamic UI is driven by fresh content delivered daily and the workout activity of our growing and active user base. You will work closely with senior engineers and a cross-functional team to continuously improve existing functionality and create new features for the application. You will also participate in the monitoring and optimization of our services that support hundreds of thousands of passionate Supernatural athletes every day.This is an ideal role for an experienced engineer interested in working on a user-facing live product that offers a new form of visual entertainment and immersion. Supernatural is not just groundbreaking, it is changing people’s lives for the better.Required Skills: Supernatural – Software Engineer (VR/MR User Interface) Responsibilities:

Develop interactive experiences in VR – includes building user interfaces based on dynamic data, scripting animations and implementing audio effects.

Collaborate with backend engineers to plan and integrate with web services and APIs, ensuring the reliability and responsiveness of the final result.

Analyze and monitor the technical impacts and performance of your work with regard to networking, memory and processor utilization.

Maintain clear and concise documentation for all code.

Effectively utilize existing internal and external APIs and services.

Participate in technical design reviews, code reviews and retrospectives, providing and receiving feedback to ensure best practices and coding standards.

Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team including engineers, designers, product managers, program managers, QA and marketing.

Participate in on-call rotations to monitor the health and performance of Supernatural live services, respond to incidents and troubleshoot in a timely manner.

Provide technical support for our live applications and global operations of a subscription based fitness application that releases new content on a regular basis.

Learn and participate in our continuous release practices that enable rapid iteration and launch of new features.

Assist with the integration of our live service into the Meta platform in order to meet the high bar of user privacy and integrity expected at Meta.

Develop positive relationships with both peers and customers.

Foster a growth mindset and regularly seek out opportunities for improvement.

Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:

Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.

2+ years of software development experience, with a focus on building complex, reliable applications

Experience developing in C#.

Experience developing in Unity, Unreal or an equally robust game engine.

Experience working on a live application at scale with high frequency shipping cycles.

Experience documenting unit tests, integration tests and other automated tests.

Proven analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively troubleshoot complex issues.

Effective communication and collaboration skills to be effective in a team.

Familiarity with web server languages such as Python, PHP, Hack, Java, Go, etc.

Familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.

Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications:

Experience developing RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL services, Experience with Meta Entschema and internal tools is a strong bonus.

Experience with cloud platforms like AWS.

Experience with database schema design.

Experience developing mobile applications.

Familiarity with agile software development methodologies.

Interest in VR and Fitness.
