Description Position Overview:We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant with a background in the construction industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of prior accounting experience and be well-versed in the unique financial requirements of construction projects. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.Key Responsibilities:

General Ledger: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Project Accounting: Track and manage project costs, including job costing, budgeting, and variance analysis.

Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, payments, and collections in a timely and accurate manner.

Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and summaries for management review.

Compliance: Ensure all accounting practices adhere to relevant regulations and industry standards.

Support: Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.

Collaboration: Work closely with project managers and other team members to provide financial insights and support decision-making.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Experience: 3-5 years of accounting experience, with a strong preference for candidates with construction industry experience.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge: Familiarity with construction accounting practices, including job costing and WIP reporting.

Attributes: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
