Description We are seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to join our stable company. The ideal candidate will oversee financial operations within multiple plant locations with a focus on cost accounting and analysis. Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.

Maintain accurate and timely financial records.

Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, identifying variances and areas for cost reduction.

Prepare cost estimates and standard cost calculations.

Conduct regular reviews of inventory valuations and production costs.

Develop and maintain the cost accounting system and cost ledger.

Assist in preparing the annual budget and financial forecasts.

Monitor plant expenses and analyze budget variances.

Provide recommendations for cost control and process improvements.

Oversee physical inventory counts and reconcile with the accounting system.

Ensure accurate recording and valuation of inventory transactions.

Analyze and report on inventory variances.

Perform detailed financial analysis to support management decision-making.

Prepare reports on key financial metrics, including productivity, efficiency, and profitability.

Support plant management with financial insights and recommendations.

Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP.

Requirements Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Have at least one year of experience in cost accounting Proficient in cost accounting principles and procedures Demonstrated skills in budgeting and financial analysis Practical experience with SAP accounting software Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently and as part of a team Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions Professional certification, such as Certified Management Accountant (CMA), is a plus.
