About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Control Management Officer to support risk execution initiatives in the Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) Client Lifecycle Management division. The Client Lifecycle Management (CLM) division provides client support services to Corporate Banking and Commercial Real Estate clients. This position will be aligned to the CIB Control organization and will be responsible for execution of risk and control activities. The candidate will work with CLM leaders while partnering with CIB Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and CIB COO representatives to execute risk and control requirements. Responsibilities include but not limited to risk identification, risk assessments, and ongoing examination of CLM controls.Role Responsibilities:

Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA): Contribute to RCSA assessments through detailed risk and control evaluations, and collection of metrics and supporting observations. Partner with CLM Leaders, Compliance, Operational Risk Business Oversight, Regional Control representatives to ensure major compliance requirements and controls are aligned and developed to mitigate risks. Liaise with control owners to recommend and update existing controls to improve the overall effectiveness and record in the system of record, as applicable.

Risk Assessment: Risk Identification, Inherent Risk Assessment, Control Assessment, Root Cause Analysis and Residual Risk Assessment. Conduct risk assessments to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes, systems, technology, and internal controls.

Control Development: Develop strategies to influence control owners, business sponsors, and key risk partners on the need new or enhanced controls to mitigate risk.

Issue Management: Serve as an escalation point of contact for CLM on issue identification and drive corrective action planning, while providing support through issue resolution and closure.

Change Management (projects & platform initiatives): Provide operational risk expertise and consulting for projects and platform initiatives with considerations of impacts to risk & control framework.

Liaise with Control team partners across CIB, Wholesale Lending Operations, and Global Treasury Management on cross line of business process flows to ensure CIB processes and controls are well defined, effective and sustainable.

The ideal candidate must have the ability to manage and prioritize competing projects and work with functional leaders to obtain resources, influence outcomes and address conflicts; ensure plans/programs adhere to appropriate policies and regulations and provide guidance to less experienced team members. 5+ years of Risk Management or Control Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

5+ years of Commercial/Corporate Banking client service experience

Prior experience with issues management and/or risk mitigation projects

Knowledge and understanding of CIB Banking and/or Commercial Real Estate products & services

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Strong leadership skills including: Ability to lead by example with high energy, transparency, relationship management expertise and influencing skills

Demonstrated experience playing a lead role in cross functional or enterprise-wide teams and developing collaborative working relationships with a variety of constituents

Significant experience with operational support and initiative implementation including the ability to synthesize and summarize large amounts of information, derive the implications, and present them in an effective way

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills needed to operate in a matrix organization environment

Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
