We are considering buying a beautiful 1953 Two Stroke diesel tour bus. This is a 671 in-line diesel, 4104 series.
It is running well and the interior is well preserved. However, if we can't find parts or someone to service it, that might be a big waste of money.
The Mechanic and Bus driver position could be the same person or separate.
Please feel free to share your thoughts if you used to service this bus and think it is a mistake to buy something so old. Some people say this engine was the work horse of America and buy it
The engine is currently running smoothly and the transmission was just serviced. Great brakes, great turns, great interior, mostly original. It was used for a singing group and never a long haul grey hound.
I love old vintage things. I would need someone to service it and also do repairs as needed. It would be great to find a senior who likes the oldies and has REAL experience. Call them up. They may not be online and want a job.
I would also need a bus driver to pick up ladies and gents for their special day.
