Title: Sales & Business Development Lead
Location: Brooklyn, NY (On-site- one day hybrid only)
Compensation: Base + Performance Bonus (based on room-night and revenue targets)
About the Role:
We're seeking a driven, well-connected sales professional to lead top-line revenue generation for a Marriott hotel property in Brooklyn. This role is not about coasting — we want a self-starter who can own business development from the ground up and aggressively build our corporate, group, and local market base.
Responsibilities:
Build the pipeline: Drive group bookings, event business, and corporate contracts.
Own outreach: Cold call, pitch, and develop relationships with decision-makers at companies, event planners, travel agents, and venue brokers.
Manage leads: Own the end-to-end sales cycle — from prospecting to contract close.
Oversee OTA and pricing strategy: Collaborate with ownership and/or RevPAR consultants.
Represent the property: Attend local events, build referral networks, act as the face of the hotel in the business community.
Track performance: Maintain CRM, report on conversion metrics, and forecast revenue.
Shape the brand: Work with marketing to craft sales collateral, promotions, and positioning.
Requirements:
3–7 years in hospitality sales or business development.
Strong NYC corporate and group booking relationships (Brooklyn experience is a plus).
Proven track record of meeting or beating sales targets.
Familiarity with sales tools (Delphi, Salesforce, etc.).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and follow-through skills.
Independent, accountable, and relentless in pursuit of leads.
Bonus Points For:
Prior experience at a branded hotel (Marriott, Hilton, IHG, etc.).
Experience launching or rebranding a hospitality asset.
Familiarity with revenue management tools and pricing dynamics.
