Event Sales Coordinator
Jet Set Venue is looking for a sales coordinator to join our team. We are a high end, white glove boutique agency with a library of venues in NYC, the qualifications for this position are: Diligent, Responsible, Reliable and must come with a sales background. This is a client facing role. We cater to high luxury brands and a polished and professional demeanor would be great. Scope of Duties for a New Salesperson at JSV
Position Title: Sales Coordinator– Event Organizing
Company
Reports To: Senior Sales Manager / Director of Sales and CEO
Location: New York City- Please live in or close to Manhattan
Job Overview:
As a Sales Representative at our event organizing company,
you will play a key role in driving revenue by promoting and
selling our event planning services to potential clients. You
will work closely with the sales and event planning team to
build relationships with new clients, understand their event
needs, and offer tailored event solutions. Your responsibilities
will involve lead generation, prospecting, and ensuring a
seamless transition from sales to event execution.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead Generation & Prospecting:
○ Identify and generate new sales leads through
various channels such as networking events, online
research, and referrals.
○ Qualify potential clients based on their event needs
and budget.
○ Research and target potential markets for the
company’s services (corporate clients, weddings,
social events, etc.).
2. Client Relationship Management:
○ Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client
relationships through regular communication and
follow-up.
○ Understand clients’ event goals, requirements, and
expectations in detail, ensuring that services are
tailored to meet their needs.
○ Serve as the main point of contact for clients
throughout the sales process, providing exceptional
customer service.
○ Provide clients with clear and compelling proposals,
event concepts, and pricing options.
3. Sales Presentations & Negotiations:
○ Conduct sales presentations to potential clients,
either in-person, over the phone, or via video
conferencing, showcasing our event organizing
services and expertise.
○ Collaborate with the event planning team to
customize proposals, presentations, and event
packages that align with client needs.
○ Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to close
sales, ensuring that both client expectations and
company profit margins are met.
4. Sales Targets & Performance Tracking:
○ Achieve sales targets and key performance
indicators (KPIs) set by the sales team.
○ Monitor and track sales performance, reporting
regularly to the Sales Director.
○ Maintain accurate records of all sales activities,
including meetings, proposals, quotes, and follow-up
actions.
5. Collaboration with Event Planning Team:
○ Work closely with the event planning team to ensure
smooth communication and coordination between
the sales and execution stages of the event
planning process.
○ Ensure all client information, requirements, and
expectations are communicated effectively to the
event planning team after the sale is closed.
○ Participate in post-sale meetings to assist in the
transition from sales to event execution.
6. Market Research & Trend Analysis:
○ Stay informed about industry trends, competitor
offerings, and emerging event technologies.
○ Regularly provide insights on market demands and
opportunities to improve the company’s sales
strategy.
○ Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking
opportunities to grow the company’s market
presence.
7. Customer Feedback and After-Sales Support:
○ Gather client feedback after events to ensure
satisfaction and identify opportunities for
improvement.
○ Act as a liaison for any post-event client issues or
inquiries, ensuring timely resolution and fostering
future business relationships.
○ Encourage repeat business and referrals from
satisfied clients.
8. Administrative Duties:
○ Prepare and maintain sales documents, contracts,
and agreements.
Skills & Qualifications:
● Proven experience in sales, preferably in the event
planning, hospitality, or related industries.
● Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation
skills.
● Excellent customer service skills and ability to build
relationships with clients.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
● Knowledge of the event industry and current trends is a
plus.
● Strong organizational and time-management skills.
● Ability to handle multiple client accounts and prioritize
effectively.
● Goal-oriented with a proven ability to meet or exceed
sales targets.
